General print driver setup notes:

Access the printer properties by "right-clicking" the installed printer from the printers folder and select the "properties" menu option.


For printing text correctly:
(This must be done to prevent checks from printing as a mirror image).

  1. Open the printer properties sheet for the Brother printer to setup.
  2. Go to the 'Advanced' tab and select 'Print directly to the printer'.


To stop the popup toolbar from appearing:

  1. Open the printer properties sheet for the Brother printer to setup.
  2. Go to the 'Advanced' tab and select 'Printing defaults' button.
  3. Go to 'Advanced' tab.
  4. Select the Icon that has a picture of a wrench on it (device options 5).
  5. Highlight 'Quick print setup' on the left side of screen.
  6. Make sure option is off.
  7. Go to printer properties of Brother printer.
  8. Go to the 'General' tab and select 'Printing preferences' button.
  9. Go to 'Advanced' tab.
  10. Select the Icon that has a picture of a wrench on it (device options 5).
  11. Highlight 'Quick print setup' on the left side of screen.
  12. Make sure option is off.
